Construction and renovation of a residence for autonomous and non-autonomous seniors, including 158 units. The work was carried out in phases, with the aim of doing as little harm as possible to the residents and their peace of mind.
The maximum preservation of the existing architectural and heritage elements of this former monastery remained at the heart of the project. The existing building containing asbestos, this phase of renovation had to be done both safely, as well as respecting and maintaining the services offered to residents and accessibility to common living spaces (kitchen, dining rooms and other amenities).
The current oil heating system has been modified for a gas system. An indoor pool and several multi-purpose rooms have been added to the existing building, to improve the quality of life for residents. The installation of a kitchen service was also part of the work to be carried out.
Finally, an automatic sprinkler system was installed in the existing building.
