TFI KINGSWAY

INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION IN ST-AUGUSTIN DE DESMAURES

New construction of a heavy vehicle garage

Design and construction of a new mechanics garage for the maintenance of Kingsway vehicles. The project also included the development of an office space of approximately 12,000 sq.ft. As the project was carried out in design-build mode, Ronam Constructions was responsible for the design of the plans.

The work was taking place on the existing and in operations site of Kingsway, so there was a challenge of coordinating with the movements of the trucks and the operations of our site. This required increased vigilance at the level of OSH. Work began as soon as we returned from the Covid-19 pandemic’s confinement (spring 2020), which also needed additional measures in terms of OHS.

The allotted timeframe was quite short for construction, but the “design-build” type of contract allowed us to have agility and rapidity of execution to meet the short deadline required by the client.
